Battleship Rugby 7’s Tournament
Rugby teams from across the southeast will be on the field of Battleship Memorial Park for this exciting summer tournament. Men, women and youth teams will compete. Bring your lawn chair, cold drinks and enjoy the matches. Five fields will be in play. Admission is free. $5 parking fee. No alcohol please.

History comes to life with our WWII reenactors during their August drill. Interact with these sailors while they hold demonstrations and tell stories about life aboard the USS ALABAMA and the USS DRUM. Be on the deck of the USS ALABAMA for "call to battle stations" at 1:00 p.m. for a mock battle attack. Deep South Radio Club will be transmitting from Radio Central. All included in admission for the day.

South Alabama Veterans Council will hold a Candlelight Ceremony to honor and remember our military who were missing in action and prisoners of war. The event will be held at the Vietnam Memorial. It is open to the public.

Battleship Rugby Club will host their annual Fall Invitational Tournament on the grounds of the park. Come see a different kind of football when teams from throughout the country come to compete in this longstanding tournament. Five fields of play. Bring lawn chairs and blanket. The Toys for Tots holiday toy drive will kick off in our area with the annual Toys for Tots Motorcycle Ride. Bring a new, unwrapped toy for a girl or boy to donate. Registration fee is $10 per person. Registration opens at 10:00 a.m. and ends at Noon. Ride begins at Noon and ends with lunch. For info call Chow Hound at 251-402-9147.
