Winged Wonders: Birds, Conservation, and Outdoor Discovery

March 14 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Join us for a unique experience as we host a captivating talk on birding and nature conservation. Our special guest speaker, Courtney Weatherby from Alabama Audubon, will take you on a journey through the skies, unraveling the fascinating world of birds and their significance in nature conservation. The talk will last approximately 30 minutes. After the talk, weather permitting, step outside with our expert speaker as they guide you through the park and see why we are site #29 on the Alabama Coastal Birding Trail. Discover the diverse bird species that call our grounds home.

Note: Please dress comfortably for outdoor exploration and, if possible, bring your binoculars for an up-close look at our feathered friends. This event is perfect for nature enthusiasts, birding aficionados, and anyone eager to connect with the nature that surrounds USS ALABAMA Battleship Memorial Park.

The event is open to the public and included with general admission. Please meet in the Wardroom aboard the USS ALABAMA.

Tickets may be purchased in advance or upon arrival. To purchase tickets now, please click here.
