We are dedicated to the restoration of the USS ALABAMA and the entirety of the park. After over 80 years, the main deck of the USS ALABAMA is being replaced. In 2022, we began our Teak Deck Replacement Project, and are in awe of the results so far. This is no simple task. Crews have worked endlessly to complete each section of the deck, and we are not finished yet. Throughout the project, each salvageable plank has been cleaned and stored for future repurposing.
Now, the original WWII teak deck is available for you to bring home! By purchasing a piece of the deck, all proceeds will go directly to the funding of the teak deck replacement project.
